Data Science Campus sponsorships for the MSc programme
Following the successful Data Science Campus MSc sponsorship that was run last summer by the Learning Academy and the Data Science Campus, we are pleased to sponsor another cohort of civil servants to undertake the full MSc. The Data Science Campus sponsorship is subject to your MDataGov MSc application being accepted by one of the above universities.
To apply for the Data Science Campus sponsorship, please complete the application form and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 21 July. We will inform successful candidates in the week starting 24 July 2017.
MDataGov module offer in ONS Newport
The geographic coverage of the MDataGov Framework is not as wide as we would have liked, so we are discussing ways to expand the list of providers in the new tendering process that is planned to run in a couple of years.
In the meantime, we are planning to offer MDataGov modules to run at ONS Newport, subject to demand and providers’ availability. We are considering modules including the four MDataGov compulsory modules (Data Science Foundations, Statistics in Government, Survey Fundamentals and Statistical Programming), and Regression Modelling. As these modules are part of the MDataGov programme, individuals deciding to take the modules (as one-off course or as part of the full MSc) will need to apply directly with the universities.
Please see the guidance. We are asking you to help us gauge the demand for this by registering your interest for one or more of the modules above by emailing email@example.com by Friday 21 July. Please specify your module(s) of choice.
However at this stage we cannot guarantee that modules will be offered in the 2017-18 academic year.
