Want to influence the affordability of a service used by 23 million households across England and Wales?

Want to use your skills to ensure that customers have a voice and receive a service that’s innovative, resilient and meets their needs?

Ofwat’s multi-disciplinary team is rapidly expanding to meet the needs of the 5 year price review cycle. This major programme of work provides the framework for a resilient long-term future for water, providing more of what matters to customers at a price they can afford and are willing to pay.

A range of exciting two year fixed term opportunities are available, both at Senior Associate and Principal level (dependent on experience), for detail oriented and methodical individuals with experience in information and quality assurance – to design, test, and operate systems that facilitate the processing and storage of the large array of information generated by the price review. They need your skills and knowledge to ensure that the information they publish is accurate and reflects their decisions.

The remit will be wide – you may be building Excel models or processes, creating and operating systems for quality assurance or designing information for publications. So your experience of designing, building and populating data models (particularly financial models) will be top class.

If you’re hoping to join as a Principal, your track record of intellectual leadership and development of your team, along with excellent engagement skills will be put to good use as will your in-depth practical knowledge. Ofwat are especially keen to hear from you if you have some experience of price reviews or business planning.

These roles are offered on up to a 2 year fixed term contract with a salary of £32,363 – £48,406 as a Senior Associate and £48,407 – £74,042 if joining us at Principal level.

Full details are available from the Ofwat website and Civil Service Jobs.
