Sandwich Placements across the GSS

Posted by

The GSS has year-long placement opportunities in locations across the UK (some roles may be offered on a slightly shorter/longer period than 12 months).

These placements are an opportunity for you to put into practice techniques you have already learnt within a working environment. You will work with others, including Data Scientists to learn new techniques and understand how the work across the GSS influences and shapes policy decision making.Successful students will work with other team members focusing on discrete pieces of work for which you will be responsible. The research may form part of larger projects but will be self contained to allow students to undertake research from start to finish.

We need people who are ambitious, and keen to learn with strong communication skills and the ability to influence colleagues at all levels. If you are studying a numerate degree and interested in pursuing a career in statistics in the data analytical function at the heart of government apply now for this exciting opportunity to spend your university sandwich placement year in one of our departments across the UK.
