Analysis Function Workforce Planning opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a professionally badged analyst (statistician, operational research, economist, social researcher, actuary, scientist)  at HEO, Fast Stream, SEO level to steer the future talent of the Fast Stream schemes in the Analysis Function. They will work to support the Analysis  Talent Board (chaired by Sam Beckett, co-head of GES) the professional support teams in the Function and the Cabinet Office Civil Service Human Resource team. You will develop a workforce planning model.

On the supply side it will consider the annual Fast Stream intake and their likely progression. On the demand side it will consider the separate professions need for Fast Streamers and the SCS demand from each analytical background. SCS demand will extend beyond analytical roles and consider progression into other professional and Functional areas. The model will need to factor in attrition, part-time and intake from other sources.

The initial project would take around 1 day a week over 2 months, starting in June. Although it contributes to your CPD professional corporate objectives you will need to request permission from your line manager and possibly Deputy Director.  This is a great development opportunity for a statistician looking to influence the future analysis in government. If you would like to be considered for this project please send an expression of interest outlining why you would like to do this work in 100 words or less by close on the 13th June to Gareth Clancy at .
