GSS apprenticeships opportunities announced for 2021

Are you interested in an exciting opportunity to join the statistical profession?

Our 2021 apprenticeships recruitment campaign is live with vacancies available across England and Wales.

There are two Government Statistical Service (GSS) apprenticeships available; Level 4 Data Analyst and Level 6 Data Science Degree.

They are a fantastic opportunity to learn the latest tools and techniques in data analytics and data science and to be able to apply them to your work in a supported way. Our apprenticeships also provide an alternative route for people to join the Government Statistician Group.

Apprenticeships are vital to ensure that we are truly representative of the society we serve. The National Statistician is a keen advocate of apprenticeships and believes they are critical to diversity of thought and innovation.

“I am extremely supportive of the GSS apprenticeship programmes, which offer an excellent way of diversifying skills and capability of staff and departments, whilst at the same time offering a route for individuals from all walks of life to develop highly sort after analytical expertise.”

Sir Ian Diamond, National Statistician and Head of the GSS

The deadline for applications is 16 March 2021.
