New mentoring opportunities for the UK public sector

The Government Data Science Partnership (GDSP) are pleased to announce the latest cohort of the Data Science Accelerator mentoring programme, with the launch of a new branch focusing on data visualisation techniques. Both will open for applications on Monday 14 June.

The new data visualisation branch is a response to growing demand and will be delivered by the Office for National Statistics Data Science Campus in partnership with the Analysis Function. It is aimed at people in analytical roles across the UK public sector wanting to develop their data visualisation skills. Successful applicants will work on a data visualisation project of their choice with the support of an experienced mentor in this field. The latest Data in Government blog explains more.

Applications for both the Data Science and Data Visualisation Accelerator programmes open on 14 June and close on 9 July 2021.

A project clinic, providing guidance on applying for the programme will take place on Thursday 17 June. To register for the session, please email Data.Science.Accelerator@ons.gov.uk.

Cohort 19 of the Data Science Accelerator will run from 2 September to 18 November 2021 and the first cohort of the data visualisation programme will run from 9 September to 25 November 2021.
