Thinking about quality when producing statistics

Want to be sure you’ve got your quality assurance covered?

The Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) have put together a list of questions analysts producing statistics can use when considering quality at each stage of production. This is not intended to be used as a checklist. It is designed to be used alongside your organisation’s guidance and any other relevant resources.

The list is adapted from a series of questions OSR asked during its review of the principles and processes underpinning the quality of HMRC’s official statistics. It also draws on the OSR’s Quality Assurance of Administrative Data guidance which helps statistical producers find out about administrative data.
