|Who this is for:||Users and producers of administrative data|
This interim guidance sets out some guiding principles around the use of administrative data, with a particular focus on the statistician’s role assuring and communicating the quality of administrative data used to produce official statistics. The guidance is based on existing good practice across the GSS. It is not intended to be treated as a set of rules that everyone must follow: the interpretation of the guidance will vary depending on the circumstances in which the administrative data are collected and used.
