20th GSS Methodology Symposium

podium-512The 20th GSS Methodology Symposium took place on Wednesday 1st July 2015 at the Westminster Conference Centre in London.

This year’s theme was Methodologies for Better Decision Making.

Keynote speakers for the event were Claire Miller, Senior Data Journalist at Trinity Mirror, Anna Vignoles, Professor of Education at the University of Cambridge, Heather Savory, Deputy National Statistician for Data Capability and Rodrigo Moreno-Serra, Lecturer in Economics at the University of Sheffield.

There were parallel sessions on Software-aided Innovation, Harmonisation and Quality, Administrative and Big Data, Sampling and Data Collection, Decision Making and Policy Evaluation, Controlling for Unobserved Variation, Innovations in Analysis and Getting More from Data.
