This eLearning course aims to introduce participants to the main concepts of disclosure control. This course is aimed at anyone who is responsible for handling, publishing or transferring data, or anyone with an interest in disclosure control. The course should take around 20 minutes to complete.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • know what Statistical Disclosure Control is and why it is important
  • understand statistical disclosure risk and balance with data utility
  • be aware of the laws on data protection
  • be aware of the data protection process
  • know where to find guidance and more information
