This course covers a range of statistical methods and how to use them in R. It contains both theory, and practical examples of how to use the R language to:

  • run a wide selection of statistical tests
  • explore regression and modelling – this includes both simple regression, and more complicated generalised linear models

Who this course is for

To enrol on this course you will need to some knowledge of the R programming language. You can access an introductory R course in the Learning Hub.

Learning outcomes

On this course you will learn:

  • how to perform random samples and understand probability distributions within R
  • how to perform Exploratory Data Analysis within R
  • how to use a wide range of statistical tests in R
  • how R can be used for Linear Regression
  • aboutmodel selection for performance in R
  •  how to perform Generalised Linear Models within R
