Chief Statistician at the Home Office
In this role you will be responsible for assuring the quality, timeliness and impact of the department’s statistical output, which includes over 100 National or official statistics publications each year, spanning the full range of Home Office business from crime and policing, to migration, to fire incidents, to terrorism.
You will also be responsible for promoting the Code of Practice for Statistics within the Home Office and providing the Home Secretary and Ministers with authoritative advice on a wide range of statistical issues, notably the presentation of statistical information to inform both policy and operational decisions, and the appropriate use of Home Office statistics externally.
This is a fast paced and high-profile role, requiring strong leadership, political awareness and sound technical expertise.
