Data Lead for Service Design

This is a key technical leadership role within the Welsh Revenue Authority’s Data Analysis Function, working directly to the Head of Data. The Data Lead for Service Design will play an important role leading on data design and making improvements to our current services. You will also lead the design of future services across the Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA).

The Data Analysis Function operates at the core of the WRA’s collection and management of devolved taxes. The Function is central to future service design. Data analysis is key to the successful delivery of WRA’s aims.

Our data services have been designed completely in-house. This gives us a real advantage in how we use data to manage our performance, make improvements to our services and reduce risk. We deliver and improve our services by bringing together strong data analysis skills and a focus on user-centred digital design.

The WRA will also support wider Welsh Government colleagues in developing new revenue services. We will do this by using our knowledge of delivery systems from beginning to end. This will mean working with different professional disciplines including data, digital, customer insight and communications.

You will work to the WRA’s Head of Data Analysis and will lead the development of our current services. You will also support wider Welsh Government colleagues to design new services and work with stakeholders and data to improve them.

As our organisation and services grow, we are investing in our technical leadership and our team across the Data Analysis Function. This will enable us to continually improve our services for the future, and make best use of data within the WRA and across government.
