The Insolvency Service is an executive agency of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. They help to deliver economic confidence by supporting those in financial distress, tackling financial wrongdoing and maximising returns to creditors.

With on the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and the UK having entered a recession, there is wide public and media interest in companies and individuals unable to pay their debts and entering into insolvency proceedings. As a member of the statistics team you will act as lead analyst to produce, quality assure and disseminate the agency’s high-profile Insolvency Official and Experimental Statistics.

This role also offers opportunities for you to provide influential analysis and insight, and to develop and apply your skills in analysis and dissemination. You will be responsible for advocating the strong use of evidence in decision making across the agency. You will work with colleagues from the analysis and performance function, the corporate centre, policy and operations to produce a wide range of analysis on areas of interest.
