Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) is looking to recruit an Intelligence Manager to be part of the Intelligence Team. The role of HIW is to inspect and regulate health services in Wales. This is to make sure services are providing safe and effective care to the people of Wales.
The Intelligence Team will support this by gathering and analysing the available information and data to support the wider operation of HIW. This information is then provided to inspectors and reviewers to help direct their investigations. The Intelligence Team also play a vital role in identifying potential risk areas for future exploration.
HIW also makes use of a range of questionnaires as part of inspections and reviews. The Intelligence Team are responsible for the design, analysis and reporting of these questionnaires. The development of dashboards and reports to inform senior managers is a key priority for the next year. These dashboards will draw on both internal inspection findings and also wider data.
This is an opportunity to be actively involved in making sure the people of Wales are receiving safe healthcare. The Intelligence Manager will help to make sure any risks are being reviewed fully, that all available data is presented in a way which informs a range of audiences.
