Senior Officer at the Data Quality Hub
The Government Data Quality Hub is a new entity which will build on the GSS Quality Centre, located in the Best Practice and Impact Division (BPI) at the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
BPI is a vibrant, multidisciplinary division that achieved some of the best People Survey scores in the department. The Quality Centre has delivered internationally recognised, measurable improvements to the quality of official statistics. Much of this best practice has applications beyond statistics, into the wider data and analysis landscape.
The postholder will work with other members of the team to establish and maintain world-leading approaches to data quality and analysis across government, while ensuring that knowledge and expertise are shared effectively. They will work across government to set strategic direction, develop a range of products and services, and establish knowledge-sharing networks.
The successful applicant will have experience of working with data and improving quality in an operational or analytical context, and a comprehensive understanding of how quality can impact on utility. The postholder will be passionate about improving quality for the benefit of policy making, business and the citizen.
