Senior Statistical Officer

Senior Statistical Officers play a crucial role in the effective running of Data and Insight and in leading the team in which they work. Senior Statistical Officers lead a variety of work, including pre-inspection briefing for inspectors and providing analytical support for inspectors during an inspection. They use their statistical knowledge, analysis and insight skills to drive forward this work.

Senior Statistical Officers will focus on the schools remit area. They will develop an expertise in statistical analysis and insight. They will analyse data appropriately and apply a thorough understanding of the policy and the wider context for their area to deliver high quality outputs and briefings which are disseminated and have impact across Ofsted. Most have line management responsibilities, leading and managing a small team to deliver a range of outputs. They will lead substantial projects and other pieces of work.
