About the role

Are you an experienced Statistician with a passion for data and an ambition to improve National Health Service (NHS) services through the use of data?

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) creates a wealth of valuable data from the £36 billion of NHS activity that it administers. Publishing effectively is a crucial part of our vision of being a Catalyst for Better Health. By using our expertise, we can better tell the story of our data and inform the debate.

We are looking for an individual who will lead our publication strategy, and the NHSBSA’s Statistical publication team along side our Open Data strategy.

Our publication strategy includes the publication of:

  • Official Statistics, including those with National Statistic designation
  • reports to government bodies and the public
  • open data for our users to perform analysis and gather insight from data

The post holder will utilise their expertise to set strategic direction in the publication of data and will be the organisations expert source of information for the publication of data.

The post will be remote working (anywhere in the UK), with some travel likely to Newcastle upon Tyne. However, when it is safe to do so, you would be welcome to work from one of our offices, if you would prefer.

This is a fixed term appointment, loan, or secondment for up to two years.
